I’ve been an active member of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), and the Computers and Writing (C&W) community since about 1991.  When I became a writing program director in 2002, I joined the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA) and became active in the WPA community. In 2004, after writing a successful proposal, I became involved in the first cohort of the National Coalition on Electronic Portfolio Research (NCEPR, now international INCEPR), and collaborated with teams from ten other universities to find out more about the role of reflection in electronic portfolios.
